Toast is located in several locations including Cranford, Red Bank, Asbury Park, Manalapan, and Montclair, all in New Jersey.
Toast has a nostalgic place in my heart. It’s a warm September morning, and I am at the Jersey shore, having been there since 5am.
Now, I’m hungry and it’s Labor Day, and after being covered in sand and the ocean breeze, I can eat anything. My girlfriend and I stumble on this restaurant called Toast, not knowing what it is.
At this time, our diners were limited to ones near our University and IHOP, so seeing a brunch spot local to the beach felt somewhat rewarding. Toast, similar to other brunch restaurants, offers breakfast and lunch foods with coffee.
I took this opportunity to order an iced latte with a dollop of whipped cream, an omelet with toast and potatoes. My girlfriend ordered French toast and strawberries.

4 Years Later, the town next to us now has a Toast location, and the nostalgic people we are, we decide, let’s go back to Toast. Compared to its Jersey Shore location, the inside felt warm, rustic, uses a lot of yellow.
Ready for another try at Toast, we were excited to not only have another brunch meal but have something that we haven’t had in 4 years.

Final Review
Toast is a nostalgic 8.5/10. For the price, there’s amazing quality. But I want to explore more of the sweet side before I can give a more accurate rating. However, it was nice to have on a Sunday morning, I’m really glad I ordered.
The breakfast potatoes were amazing, really crispy, the eggs were cooked, but the omelet itself was alright. Individually, every ingredient was good, but together did not feel as great. That being said, I love eating from Toast. I’m looking at eating a sandwich or a pancake for next time.
I especially would have liked to see their breakfast bowls. But for the price of the omelet and the chicken sandwich, there’s a ton of value in that cost. It’s affordable, fast, and amazing on a Sunday morning.
