Cafe Chili is a small Thai kitchen in Brooklyn, and instead of getting Thai classics, we stumbled upon their finger-food afternoon tea set. It’s not something that you would see at a Thai restaurant, but it immediately made me curious enough to try it.
I started with a classic Thai iced tea, as you should, and experienced a great twist on traditional Thai flavors presented in a tea-style format.

Here’s what we ate, which is how it was described to me at the restaurant:
- Vegetable Dumpling, very savory comes with a sauce
- Curry Puff with a sweet cucumber salad, very flaky very savory like a Thai curry
- Chive Pancake, super crunchy, a lot of umami served with a good savory sauce

- Egg Tart with Pork Floss, sweet and salty, unexpectedly good
- Bean, that’s what how it was described
- Pecan Tart, really sticky and not too sweet.

- Chicken Salad on a chip, very crunchy and has a lot of texture
- This coconut flake type dessert, I think it was called a Thai Pearl
